PSG: "Improve" to "repeat the feat", Luis Enrique wants to win the Champions League again in 2026

The Paris Saint-Germain coach spoke about his team's objectives this season ahead of the European Super Cup against Tottenham on Wednesday.
By Andreas GuerinA repeat performance for Paris? Having won the European Championship on May 31st after a legendary 5-0 final against Inter Milan, PSG has the same ambitions for the coming season. On the eve of the European Super Cup, which will pit his team against Tottenham in Udine, Italy, Luis Enrique spoke to the UEFA website about his desire to remain at the top of European football.
"Even today, when you walk around Paris, people thank you," explains the Asturian coach. "They thank you and hug you. I think that's one of the things I appreciate, as a man of a certain age, with experience as a player and coach. Being able to meet people you don't know at all, who, I'm sure, have very complicated lives, but who, during these times or this year, have been able to be happier, have been able to have fun, have been able to overcome their problems."
After a magical quadruple, which could have become quintuple if the Parisians hadn't lost in the Club World Cup final against Chelsea (3-0), will PSG be able to reproduce a similar performance in the coming season? The former midfielder remains cautious.
"The goal for the coming season is to improve. In terms of winning titles, it will be more difficult," he admits. "But on a football level, I think we will improve as a team, both in attack and defense. I believe we can still identify areas of play that need improvement. "
"As for the titles, we want to be ready to go for them all. Of course, we all believe we can win them all and repeat that feat this year, which would mean making history in a big way, and that gives us a special motivation," concludes the Spaniard.
The tone is set ahead of the capital club's match against Tottenham, which could offer the Red and Blue supporters the first of a long series of trophies.
